Some Projects
Saffron Aid purchase good quality vegetable seed and distributes these seeds to local villagers so they can grow healthy and high yielding crops of vegetables. The family can then store vegetables so they have a good supply of food for themselves and have excess they can sell at the major town’s market and generate an income from their vegetable plot.
Working with local communities we develop projects to help minimise pollution in villages. These include recycling projects that compliment the Indo Pacific Plastic Recycling Revolution that generate employment, training and other benefits for the local community.
Family poultry farming dominates indigenous chicken production in the country. Poultry roam freely around most villages foraging for scraps and insects. Saffron Aid is training villagers to build simple, above ground, chicken coops to help increase the life span of the chicken and to protect the eggs from predators such as rats etc.
