Stopping the Plastic Plague

Aim

Environmental management has come to be considered as one of the most important social concerns for communities because of its many direct and indirect impacts on human life.

Working with the local community, monks and government departments Saffron Aid aims to educate the population about the effects of plastic to the environment and how it can be stopped. With the increase in the number of products that contain plastic and visitors to the country plastic is now a major pollutant filling up streets and waterways due to lack of infrastructure to handle such waste.

Saffron Aid will be introducing a variety of educational and practical activities that can help keep the remote villages clean and healthy by controlling non biodegradable waste and implementing recycling techniques to villagers.
